Summerburst started in 2011, a festival dedicated to electronic music. For a whole day Stockholm Stadium was electric and it was a big success. The event sold out, which meant that 13 000 people were on site. The following year the event grew to include both Stockholm and Gothenburg. Furthermore, we expanded the festival to include two days in each city.
Year 2012 13 500 people attended the show each day in Gothenburg and 22
500 people each day in Stockholm.
2013 the tickets for Summerburst Stockholm sold out two months before
the festival. That means that 30 000 people will attend the festival at
Stockholms Stadion each day. In Gothenburg, the festival will be
arranged at Ullevi and each day 24 000 people will attend the festival.
With a total of 108 000 visitors, in two cities, Summerburst 2013 is
Sweden's biggest music festival.
Summerburst is the leading festival in the north when it comes to electronic music of absolute world class. Inspiration came from international models such as Tomorrowland and Creamfields. The festival is a recurring concept that marks the start of summer and also acts as a pioneer to bring dance music to the big stadiums.
