Sturecompagniet is situated just a stone's throw away from the modern Stureplan in the building at Sturegatan 4, where Sturebadet was originally built at the end of the 19th century.
Since the opening of Sturegallerian in 1989, Sturecompagniet has been one of Stockholm's most popular entertainment venues, and with 24 years in the business it is also one of the city's most enduring.
The venue comprises four rooms over two levels around a beautiful atrium with open windows facing inwards. The visitor has a view of what is happening in the atrium from each room, and Sturecompagniet has proved to be an excellent arena for fashion shows or various types of performance. In 2003, Sturecompagniet was acquired by Stureplansgruppen, at which point the company underwent a cautious, but extensive renovation, combining old architecture with a fresh, modern element.
